USLS holds play for voter’s education

The University of St. La Salle presented "Rizal is My President", a one-act comedy and voter’s education program stage-play held at Santuario de La Salle last May 3 and 4.

The play, written by Fundador Tipon II and directed by Tanya Lopez was inspired from Joshua So’s stageplay "Rizal is my President and based on Napoleon Almonte’s book "Rizal is my President: 40 Leadership Tips from Jose Rizal.

It talks about the sense of identity, value of Philippine history, love of country and true heroism and further poses the importance of the Filipinos’ right to suffrage.

Cast of characters are Gerhard Krysstopher Pagunsan (Pepe/Jose Rizal), Jerom Cris Corugda (Cian/Graciano Lopez Jaena), Kim Chauven Villaluna (Delps/Marcelo Del Pilar), Orleans Dasmariñas (Andrei/Andres Bonifacio), Junamae Quiocson (Gabby/Gabriela Silang), Peter Palma (Otep), Cleo Patricio (Yka),Beatrice Marie Lim (Johna), and Neil Patrick Begasa (Kiko).

A special evening play was also staged for benefactors and friends last April 28.
