IS students reap awards in 40th Annual Academic Excellence contest

Fifteen Integrated School students reaped awards in the Rotary Club of Bacolod South’s 40th Annual Academic Excellence Contest held at the St. La Salle Coliseum, Jan. 24.

Michael Spencer Go and Joshua Mark Mataranas claimed the champion titles in both intermediate and secondary levels.

 They were coached by IS faculty members Jose Sebastian Cuadra and Igraine Lynnil Latumbo, respectively.

Meanwhile, Jest Dainel Cuadra won the 1st runner-up slot in the primary level, he was coached by teacher Sheila Ticao.

Also claiming the intermediate level 1st runner-up was Lorenzo Gabriel Velez, while Auden Robert Ignalaga and Kayla Angelique Castillo both won as 2nd runners-up in the secondary and intermediate levels.

Participating as semi-finalists in the secondary level were Rafael Martin Moreno and Lance Ryan Villarosa; in the intermediate level, Juan Carlos Zuloaga reached the semi-finals while Kyna Hosillos played as a participant in the eliminations.

In the primary level, Franz Joseph Jesena and NievesNicole Sedonio reached the semi-finals while Lanz Gaebriel Diong and Beatrice Louise Locson participated the eliminations.
