USLS and DILG sign MOA

University of St. La Salle and Department of Interior and Local Government signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held at University Boardroom,June 16.

DILG Negros Occidental Provincial Director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag expressed her hope that the partnership would be more transparent, accountable and create close working relationship.

Meanwhile, Region VI Local Government Operations Officer Anna Lee Mostacho discussed the overview of the Citizen Satisfaction Index System 2015 Implementation.

The CSIS is a set of data tools designed to collect and generate relevant citizens’ feedback on local governments’ service delivery performance and on the citizens’ general satisfaction.

The MOA will govern the implementation of the system that commissioned the USLS to conduct research, fieldworks and data analysis from the assigned cities namely, Bago City, La Carlota City, Himamaylan City and Sipalay City.

Br. Pajarillo disclosed that the system is very helpful and we should learn wherever we go.

He also added, “If we have a lousy government, it goes back to us.”

Also present in the MOA signing were Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Marissa Quezon, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Research Romeo Teruel, Vice-Chancellor for Mission and Development Hector Gloria Jr., Senior Researchers Mr. Elias Patriarca Jr., Dr. Frances Mae Llamas, Dr. Mercedes Cañal and URC Research Associate Manuel Eduardo de la Paz and URC Administrative Assistant Mary Grace Magbanua.
