USLS celebrates 63rd year with Handumanan Week: Burn with the Brightest Flame

Kaboom! President and Chancellor Br. Mawel officially opens Handumanan #63USLS

The University of St. La Salle is holding a weeklong celebration denoted “Handumanan” as the commemoration of the past, present and future through #63USLS: Burn with the Brightest Flame, June 29- July 3.

The celebration started with an opening mass, procession of the image of St. John Baptist de La Salle to Bookstore and followed by a Binhi Tree Care planting, in which President and Chancellor Br. Manuel “Mawel” Pajarillo planted the 63rd endemic tree.

Kaboom, Br. Mawel officially opened Handumanan Week which was accompanied by the Integrated School Citizens Advancement Training flag raising, IS Drumbeaters and the releasing of 63 birds by the USLS administrators.

Special performances were showcased by the College of Education Flash Mob Dancers, and Jean Baptiste Dance Company.

Press conference and fellowship with the media guests were held in the English café at 12:00pm.

Handumanan Week will be until July 3.
