USLS and Office of the Ombudsman sign a MOA

University Integrity Tour in USLS with staff, students and faculty.

The University of St. La Salle and Office of the Ombudsman conducted the University Integrity tour and signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Santuario de La Salle on August 17, 2015.

Deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas Hon. Paul Elmer M. Clemente talked about “Nurturing the Gains of Good Governance and Anti-corruption toward Nation Building and People Empowerment.”

“We can be the generation that ends corruption,” said Clemente.

The University Integrity tour is envisioned to build and strengthen the foundations of good governance, integrity and anti-corruption in the country’s educational system.

The MOA will explore and promote collaboration in a wide variety of possible activities, including but not limited to proactively informing, inspiring and involving the members of the administration, faculty and staff, alumni, students, parents and partners in building and strengthening the foundations of good governance, integrity and anti-corruption in the country’s educational system and by inculcating upon the students the ideal virtues of public accountability and the rule of law.

Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development Hector Gloria said that “Integrity begins in our self”. 

 Present also were the Acting Director Atty. Philip C. Camiguin, Deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas and Office of the Ombudsman region VI, Hon. Eugenio Jose V. Lacson, Vice Governor of Negros Occidental, USLS staff, students and faculty.
