USLS Hospitality and Tourism Management Department gained most of the awards in the “Sabor Bisaya 2015 and Chefs War Regional Elimination”, themed “Local to Global”. The event held from August 27 to 29 aimed to upgrade the quality of restaurants and hotels and industry professionals, and enable students to acquire a level of knowledge and skills especially in providing services to market at par with global standards.
The following events were Vannamei Shrimp Challenge: Gold, Chefs War: Silver, On the Spot Table Setting: Wine and Dine: Silver, Inasal to the World: Bronze, On the Spot Cake Decoration Challenge: Bronze and Dessert Flambé: Diploma.
The USLS-HTM team was comprised of HTM students of the different events, Chefs War: Gerald Brylle Flores, Glennuel Paul Velasco and Jairus John Cambelisa. Vannamei Shrimp Challenge: Ma. Thea Lovino and Ben Marc Lim. Inasal to the World: Romeo Lipa lll and Gabriel Angeles. On the spot Cake Decoration Challenge: Karen Vistar, Andrea Paula Salillas and Angelica Patino. Dessert Flambé: Janine Fritz Sandoval. On the Spot Table Setting: Wine and Dine: Jan Michael Jo, Justin Yee and Christian Calderon. Bar Tending Mock tail: Rene Semillier and Robert Grofen Dado
