Emerson E. Ea, DNP, RN, BC, a batch ’92 graduate of the University of St. La Salle College of Nursing, is newly appointed as Director of Undergraduate Programs of the New York University College of Nursing.

Ea started working in a rural hospital here in the Philippines before an opportunity to work in the USA knocked.

Ea is an awardee of the 2011 Distinguished Faculty Award, Undergraduate Student Nurses Association, New York University College of Nursing, a recipient of the 2007 Nurse Service Award, Emergency Department, Metropolitan Hospital Center, New York City Health and Hospital Corporation and also a participant of the 2010 QSEN Consortium Institute, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), a participant and scholarship recipient of the 2008 Certificate in Distance Education Program (CDEP), Thomas Edison State College and was selected in the 2007 Nurse Scientist Researcher Mentee, National Council of Ethnic Minority Nurses Associations (NCEMNA).
