USLS Fellow joins Silliman University National Writers Workshop

LIACOM student, RJ Ledesma qualified as one of the ten fellows of the 55th Silliman University National Writers Workshop last January 20.

 The workshop, which traditionally lasts for three weeks, is the oldest creative writing workshop of its kind in Asia.

 Ten writers from all over the Philippines have been accepted as workshop fellows and were classified into their writing genre; poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. Ledesma belonged to the poetry category along with participants from University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman, and Ateneo de Davao University.

 The workshop starts on May 9 to 27 at the Rose Lamb SobrepeƱa Writers Village in Camp Look-out, Valencia, Negros Oriental.
