USLS holds coastal cleanup, mangrove planting in Silay
In line with the celebration of the International Coastal Clean Up 2022, the USLS Balayan, together with LASBEMPCO as co-sponsor, spearheaded a clean up drive and mangrove planting activity at Balaring, Silay City last Nov. 12.
Over 40 Lasallian participants from the Green Brigade and the Organization of Non-Teaching Office Personnel planted 400 bungalon propagules sponsored by the LASBEMPCO.
The Green Brigade, a group of cycling enthusiasts with an advocacy for the environment, also held their bike ride from USLS to the site of the coastal clean and up and mangrove planting in Silay.
The celebration of International Coastal Clean Up Day is a yearly activity observed by USLS to instill environmental consciousness among members of the Lasallian community.
