Br. Robert “Bobby” Schaefer, FSC drops by to say “Hi”

The Secretary for Formation, Br. Robert “Bobby” Schaefer, FSC came to Bacolod last May 9, 2018 to visit the Lasallian Formators in the city.

Br. Bobby’s arrival in the city was warmly welcomed by the Lasallian community.

He met the Brother President and Chancellor of University of St. La Salle, Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez, FSC along with the Vice Chancellors for Administration, Mission and Development, and Academic Affairs during the courtesy call.

Ms. Lyn Mapa gave him a quick tour of the various collections in the Museo de La Salle-Bacolod, which was followed by a Lasallian Formators’ Assembly facilitated by Br. Butch Alcudia, FSC.

Br. Bobby had an interactive discussion with the Formators from USLS including new teachers of the Integrated School.

Br. Bobby left the Formators a touching message during his talk, “Teaching is both rewarding and challenging,” and a question to ponder on, “In a world or country that’s politically divided, what is the role of a Catholic School?”

On his second day in the city, Br. Bobby visited Bahay Pag-asa in Barangay Granada.

Br. Dan Fenton gave him a tour of the institution and introduced him to the residents of the home.

This was followed by a quick tour of the USLS Eco Park located next to Bahay Pag-asa.

Later in the afternoon, Br. Bobby dropped by St. Joseph School-La Salle in Villamonte for another Formators’ Assembly.

He was then given a tour by the student leaders of SJS-LS, the COCOSA.

Br. Bobby was set to leave the city on his 3rd day.
