Perya de Juan wins Best Picture in Sine Negrense 2022

Perya de Juan, a film by the La Salle Film Society (LFS), emerged as one of the big winners in the Sine Negrense: Negros Island Film Festival 2022  held last Nov. 26, bagging 7 awards including the coveted Best Picture in the Intercollegiate category. 

Director David Reasol was hailed Best Director while Jerianne Panisales was given the Best Actress award. 

The film also took Best in Cinematography (Rodney Jarder Jr.); Best Editing (Rodney Jarder Jr.);  Best Sound Design (Raymond John Sugay); and Best Musical Score (Joshua  Doronila and John Magbanua).

Lasallian Thomas Gucaban, director of “One-Eyed Pig,” received a citation as Emerging Negrense Filmmaker.

Meanwhile, “Golden Bells,” a film by alumnus Kurt Soberano, swept several awards in the Open Category.

Other LFS film entries that made it as finalists include “Ading” in the Intercollegiate Category and “Amo Guid Na Da Sila”, in the Open Category.
