USLS joins CHED ASEAN exhibit

The University is one of several higher education institutions in the province participating in the ASEAN Exhibit unveiled by the Commission on Higher Education-VI (CHED-VI) at Robinsons Place Bacolod on Sept. 8.

In partnership with the Western Visayas Association of Higher Education Institutions, the CHED-VI exhibit aims to highlight the culture and education of countries in the Southeast Asia region.

Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development (VCMD) Br. Normandy Dujunco, FSC DTh, led the USLS delegation during the opening ceremonies attended by CHEDRO VI Director Dr. Raul C. Alvarez.

The University booth emphasizes its partnership with Indonesia while also showcasing the unique Indonesian arts, culture, cuisine, and textiles.

Last June, four of the University’s faculty and non-academic staff participated in a week-long mobility/teaching activity organized by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), a university partner, in Surabaya, Indonesia.

The USLS exhibit is made possible through the collaboration of the VCMD, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Center for Linkages and International Affairs, the Center for Marketing and Communications, Museo De La Salle Bacolod, and the Yu An Log - College of Business and Accountancy.

The ASEAN exhibit is open to the public until Sept. 10.
