When Sugar Lost Its Sweetness Online Screening Invitation
In commemoration of the upcoming 36th Anniversary of the People Power Revolution, the University of St. La Salle – Institute of the Moving Image would like to invite you and your respective communities for a free special screening of “When Sugar Lost Its Sweetness” (an official entry to the 2019 Sine Negrense Film Festival) a short film on the Negros experience after Proclamation no. 1081 or Martial Law was declared in the Philippines on September 21, 1972.
The short film will be available online video-on-demand from February 25, 2022, Friday, 8:00 AM to February 27, 2022, Sunday, 11:59 PM via Vimeo (https://bit.ly/WSLS2019).
May this be a reminder of one of the darkest eras in our history as Filipinos and compel us not to allow the horrors of Martial Law to happen again.
